Proud to Care Awards 2025

We’re thrilled to share some fantastic news — members of our incredible team at Perran Bay have been nominated for the Proud to Care Cornwall 2025 Awards!

The nominations span several categories, including Registered Manager of the Year, Best Newcomer, Hidden Treasure, and Care Home Worker of the Year. Pictured here are just a few of our proud nominees, representing the passion and dedication that define our team.

If selected as finalists, they’ll be invited to attend the awards ceremony later this year — and we couldn’t be more excited. We’re on tenterhooks and cheering them on every step of the way!

  • Proud to Care Awards

    We’re delighted to share that two, yes TWO, members of our staff are winners in the 2024 Proud to Care Awards for Cornwall. Charley is Care Home Worker of the Year and Ellie, who looks after our wonderful gardens, was the winner in the Hidden Treasure category. We couldn’t be prouder.

  • Stunning views

    The Sun Lounge at Perran Bay has been beautifully redecorated with a lovely fresh feel. Residents have been enjoying the modern furnishings and subtle calming tones that mirror the wonderful sea views outside. We’re extremely proud of this room where everyone can relax and enjoy the seaviews.

  • The Saints Trail

    This week, some of our residents enjoyed the Spring sunshine and explored The Saints Trail, which follows the route of the old branch line railway. Staff accompanied them all the way from Perranporth to Goonhavern. A glorious day out for everyone involved.

    APRIL April saw some of us off to a luxury hotel for the day, to be pampered and filmed, looking glamourous, later the film was posted on a National website, explaining how good homes like Perran Bay are. We had a visit from the BBC,  profiling how good care home work, later shown on BBC…
