Farewell to Sue on her retirement.
After almost a quarter of a century working at Perran Bay Sue has decided to hand in her uniform on Dec 30th, Sue will however continue to pop in and help us out.
Sue has been a dedicated member of the team demonstrating her qualities of empathy and understanding to all, she has a lovely vibrant personality which we will all miss very much. We all wish Sue the very best and hope she will pop in from time to time to see us all.
Due to Sue’s retirement we are delighted to announce our changes within our staffing for 2017. We have been looking at increasing our Senior Carer’s capacity and changing their title to Senior Team Leaders and our newly promoted carers will be known as Team Leaders.
They will manage the day & night shifts and oversee all the needs of the Residents are being met.
Congratulations to them all for the hard work and extra studies that they have undertaken and continue to undertake in order to improve the standards of care and knowledge gained to ensure all needs are being met.
In January all Team leaders and Management completed a 3 year First Aid course. It was very interactive as well as practical. They had great fun applying various bandages to each other in the practical sessions and also using the resusi Ann doll for CPR updates and having to assess scenarios with unconscious casualties.
