More day trips and some in house entertainment. Our oldest resident, Alice, meets Linda’s Granddaughter. We tried our hands making Corn Dollies, but they were very fiddly. Our Art Group produced some lovely pictures. Loveday had such a wonderful day for her 100th Birthday. Her family organised a party, then two trips to the Hall…

Today we took part in the Perranzabuloe Improvements Committee Easter Duck Hunt. Participants had a sheet of clues to help them find the shops or businesses with hidden ducks. It certainly proved extremely popular and we had plenty of young sleuths on the hunt for the duck hiding at Perran Bay Reception.

We enjoyed a full morning of exercise with boxing, football and Tai Chi followed by some stretching. Keepy Uppy with the balloon was our favourite challenge! We were definitely ready for a cup of tea afterwards.

Residents have been spending time painting the view from our Sun Lounge. As ever, Perranporth Beach is very popular in the summer sunshine and we love this colourful image that really seems to capture how busy the sand is on an August afternoon.

Visits from creatures great and small. Snakes, rats and giant snails. We had dressing up fun at the Memory Cafe. We went to Truro Methodist Church to see the Flower Festival. Residents at Perran Bay are thoroughly enjoying the new Scrabble Club. They meet every Thursday evening, ready to challenge each other and showcase their word skills. It’s quickly become a weekly highlight!
