The Sun Lounge at Perran Bay has been beautifully redecorated with a lovely fresh feel. Residents have been enjoying the modern furnishings and subtle calming tones that mirror the wonderful sea views outside. We’re extremely proud of this room where everyone can relax and enjoy the seaviews.
Cream Teas, Cakes and Cheers to Us, as Perran Bay celebrates 75 years of care. We’ve had a wonderful weekend of events to mark our 75th birthday with a Hog Roast on Saturday and a Church Service followed by a huge Cream Tea on Sunday. We even had a birthday cake!
Perran Bay Care home was officially opened on 1st January 1949 so this year we are marking our 75th birthday. Over the weekend of 6th and 7th July, there will be a marquee on the Inner Green and a series of events for residents and their families, staff, former staff and supporters of our Home….
Members of our team had the opportunity to represent Perran Bay at the Royal Cornwall Show this month. They had an amazing time and enjoyed being part of the Proud to Care stand, promoting careers in caring across Cornwall.
Residents at Perran Bay are thoroughly enjoying the new Scrabble Club. They meet every Thursday evening, ready to challenge each other and showcase their word skills. It’s quickly become a weekly highlight!
This week, some of our residents enjoyed the Spring sunshine and explored The Saints Trail, which follows the route of the old branch line railway. Staff accompanied them all the way from Perranporth to Goonhavern. A glorious day out for everyone involved.
Birthdays are always celebrated here at Perran Bay. Our dedicated Kitchen Team takes great care in making each resident’s birthday memorable by crafting custom cakes tailored to their tastes. It’s just one of the many ways we ensure every special moment is recognised.
Today we took part in the Perranzabuloe Improvements Committee Easter Duck Hunt. Participants had a sheet of clues to help them find the shops or businesses with hidden ducks. It certainly proved extremely popular and we had plenty of young sleuths on the hunt for the duck hiding at Perran Bay Reception.
