It’s all go at Perran Bay – a visit from G-Fitness this morning to put us through our paces with a variety of indoor exercises.

We enjoyed listening to the choir that visited us. Our Gardens are looking beautiful thanks to Tracy and her hard work. The Sunset Bar called us! Then we went for a paddle in the sea. A lovely sunny day meant another trip to the beach in the special beach wheelchairs available from the Perranporth Gardens…

Perran Bay Care home was officially opened on 1st January 1949 so this year we are marking our 75th birthday. Over the weekend of 6th and 7th July, there will be a marquee on the Inner Green and a series of events for residents and their families, staff, former staff and supporters of our Home….

Happy St Piran’s Day! Our dining room is covered in Cornish bunting and we’ve made pasties to eat for lunch. We’ll need our thinking caps on later as there’s a Cornish Quiz to test our knowledge of the county. Our day will be rounded off with a Cornish Cream Tea. Jam first – obviously!

The Sun Lounge at Perran Bay has been beautifully redecorated with a lovely fresh feel. Residents have been enjoying the modern furnishings and subtle calming tones that mirror the wonderful sea views outside. We’re extremely proud of this room where everyone can relax and enjoy the seaviews.

Glorious Sunshine for our day out. Some of our staff and residents enjoyed a trip to Stithians Show this week and had a wonderful time watching equestrian events, learning about preparation for a dog show and sampling local produce.
