We’re all set to mark the 80th Anniversary of VE Day here at Perran Bay. Our residents will enjoy their own street party complete with a special lunch menu that includes Spam Fritters and Spotted Dick. Some attended a special church service here this morning and later today we have Vera Lynn (aka Rachel) coming to entertain us with Wartime Songs.
After a few false starts, it seems summer has finally arrived here in Perranporth. The beach is packed with visitors and residents are enjoying the views from our sheltered deck.
Some of our residents were out enjoying a pint of Guinness this morning, to celebrate St Patrick’s Day.
Today we took part in the Perranzabuloe Improvements Committee Easter Duck Hunt. Participants had a sheet of clues to help them find the shops or businesses with hidden ducks. It certainly proved extremely popular and we had plenty of young sleuths on the hunt for the duck hiding at Perran Bay Reception.
Halloween fun and knitting hats for premature babies. We had a stall at the local Christmas Fete selling goodies made by our residents.
Chacewater Garden Centre 30th June Lisa from Chacewater Garden Centre visited Perran Bay, she works there with the small reptiles and snake. We’ve got an Easter Cream Tea here at Perran Bay this Saturday, 23rd March, from 2-4pm. The afternoon will be filled with cakes, teas, chocolate and all kinds of tasty refreshments. We hope you’ll come along to support us and buy a raffle ticket or two; we’ve had some wonderful prizes donated.
